Introduction

What We Believe

We believe the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. The Bible. We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Scriptures, the Genesis account of creation, the Virgin Birth of Christ, His sinless life, His blood atonement, His glorious bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His second coming. We reject all books and writings, claiming to be God’s Word and divinely inspired, outside the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments and believe God’s Word to be divinely preserved in the Authorized Version, commonly called the King James Bible. We Are Premillennial. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back before His Millennial Kingdom is established. Christ’s return from Heaven will be personal, visible and glorious! A blessed Hope for which we should constantly watch and pray, the time being unrevealed but always imminent. We are Evangelistic. We are ambassadors for Christ, and our mission is to evangelize the world. We take very seriously Christ’s command to “go” into the highways and byways and compel them to come in so that His house can be full. We utilize soul-winning and door-to-door visitation. We believe in salvation by grace through faith. Salvation is a free gift of God, neither merited nor secured in part or in whole by any virtue, work, or religion of man, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Security of the Believer. We believe that because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by any efforts or works of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security. The Ordinance of Baptism. Baptism is for individuals who have personally received Jesus Christ as their Savior. Baptism is the immersion of a believer, in water, and symbolizes the death of an individual to the old life, his spiritual resurrection to the newness of life, and identification with Christ. The Lord's Supper. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of the supreme price Christ paid at Calvary.

Church History

About Us

RAISING THE STANDARD BACK UP IN THE CHURCH FOR CHRIST! Way of Life has had a great history of almost 60 years of promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With the change of winds in Christianity we want people to know we are a church that still believes in the old fashioned way of doing things. So when you come to Way of Life, you can expect to sing the hymns of the faith each and every service, you can expect the preacher to stand up and preach out of the King James Bible. We want to get back to when the church had the power of God so we believe in Raising the Standard back up. We believe in living right according to the Scriptures. We believe every believer should strive towards living a life of Holiness. Of course we know this does not happen outside of us yielding our life to the Holy Spirit of God. So we are excited about the days ahead of us where we want everyone to know our main goal as a church is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and Exalt his name the way the Word of God tells us. Come, be part of what the Lord is doing at Way of Life Baptist Church!
